Today I realized how connected I normally am, having my blackberry with me at all times. When I got here I realized there was no cell phone service on the island and put my phone in the room safe. I had missed a call this morning and when I spoke to the people at the front desk they told me I’m on island time and not to worry. There is something really nice about being checked out. Rare experience these days.
I went down to Ospreys and had another great breakfast consisting of coconut pancakes,sauteed mushrooms and kiwi/mango juice. After breakfast I went down to the beach, took out a dinghy ( small motorboat ) and went snorkeling after receiving a briefing on the geography of the island and the best snorkel spots from the experts at the Beach Club. There are 22 beaches on the island all of which are slightly different. Even the color of the water seems to vary from place to place. The first beach I docked at had a colony of enormous clams which had what appeared to be eyes looking back at me. Lots of amazing bright coral varying in color, shape and texture. I came back for lunch and then went
