Jet lag woke me at the bright and early hour of 4:30 am to the sound of bright squacking exotic birds. Had breakfast at 7:30.
Smoked Baramundi, passion fruit , and a local specialty of toast and Vegemite. Nice to have something savory on toast for a change.
Met Drew Hamilton from Down Under tours at 8:30. He is the real deal. We left in his diesel VW bus. Stopped for jungle tea and then continued on to the Daintree river.

Upon boarding the boat we  were told about an incident involving 2 alpha male crocodiles, Fat Albert and Scarface. They like to name them out here based upon their appearance. One of the tour operators had a decal of a croc on the boat and Scarface had tried to attack it. He has since removed the decal. The guide pointed out a couple of crocs on the trip.
